Italian Wind Energy Potential
The distinction between large and small wind projects depends on the capacity of the turbines to be installed. A small wind project is based on turbines with a capacity of 1,5kW up to and including 3kW (suitable for small dwellings), from 5kW up to 20kW (suitable for public facilities as Holiday farms or small Hotels). The turbine blades have a diameter from 3 to 10 meters.
Larger wind turbines system (60kW) are available. They produce up to 2000 kW/h: an earning of more than 35,000 € per year. For people thinking of installing a wind turbine system, we have to tell you something important you must consider before you go any further:
- size of the area in which the turbine will be installed, energy need, energy requirements, wind speed;
- land occupation; noise emissions; electromagnetic interference; bird population.
Anemological studies of the site and our customers' energy consumption estimation allow us to choose the more suitable kind of turbine, which can be three-dimensional, conventional or vertical-axis. We take care of the whole wind system installation, dealing with the necessary administrative papers.
A public incentive (given to wind energy systems) will take care of the mortgage loan instalments.
Budget document 2008 calculates the energy bill with a bargain price of 0,3 € per KW/h produced.
Customers will receive a refund for their wind turbine system, as well as the difference between the amount of the mortgage instalment and and a surplus of the energy produced starting from the first year. When the mortgage is extinguished, the wind system owner will receive the amount of all the electrical energy produced. Moreover you won't pay the energy consumption to Enel. So beyond a bargain price you will benefit of saving incoming from not paying Enel supply for more than 30 years.
